Responding to the growing demand for natural surfacing in the kitchen, PWS has added natural bamboo to its timber
worksurface collection. Natural bamboo has a more mellow hue than the standard bamboo option already available, a caramel tone that will appeal to lovers of lighter, softer colour schemes.
One of the most environmentally sound
worksurfaces available and the fastest growing plant in the world, eco-friendly bamboo has a distinctive grain that creates an elegant pattern with natural warmth, which is not only unique but will complement and contrast with most materials and finishes
Following the recent launch of zebrano, natural bamboo is the next exciting introduction to the PWS
worksurface portfolio and is available in 27mm and 40mm thickness in a range of lengths and widths. Bespoke schemes include an extensive choice of edge profiles and cut-out options. Natural bamboo brings the number of Second Nature timber species to 15.
Comments Andrew Langford, marketing manager at PWS, ‘Our timber
worksurface collection has design scope for bringing beautiful natural surfaces to any style of kitchen. For a long time timber was descried as a niche worktop product but is now taking market share with some authority. There are a number of reasons for this: consumers are more willing to pay the price differential to achieve the desired look plus with specialist manufacturers and installers such as ourselves, retailers are more comfortable than they have ever been working with natural surfacing products’.
